I retired all my Chuck Taylors. I switched to Adidas Superstars, My first Chucks back in 2000 was the white ones. They got so dirty and too small for me so my father had to throw them out. The Chucks have no arch support, so I decided to retire all of them. Before I move to Linden (after the Tokyo trip). Here's what I'm going to keep my Chucks for memories:

Black Chucks

This is my black Chucks, they're eternally untied because of the dirty laces, I bought them back in late 2008 because I had to get new ones. So, they're pretty much my "slipper sneakers" or "relaxing sneakers". I know how to tie shoelaces, but I'll keep them as memories. They're almost about a year old.

X-Hi Tweeds

The next one is my Converse "snow boots", bought them three years ago. They're much durable in the snow when walking them, they have knots in the shoelaces, I should remove the knots from them...

Denim Chucks

The next one is my denim Chucks, bought them two years ago, the top of these shoes keep falling off loosely, now the shoelaces on these shoes are getting too loose. I can press the toes down while I was walking, and that's pretty cool.

Customized Chucks

The next one is one of my favorites -- the customized color Converse, they have blue, green, dark blue on the outside, red on the inside, and red racing stripe, I try to keep them clean, but I can put in them to do laundry. They are worn very occasionally. The tops of the shoes don't fall off much. I keep them tied forever.

Brown Chucks

The last one I got four years ago, is my brown Chucks, I got them at Marshalls, but the laces got very messy and loose, I can keep them for memories. They're similar to any kind of work boots.

My UCLA Chucks when I was 14, they're five years old. I would keep them, but I have to throw them out tomorrow...

I think it's time to officially declare that I'm retiring all my Chuck Taylors now. They don't have support while running, my father's van has broke down again. I was about to write a letter, but I didn't have time to do that because I had to sleep. As you may have noticed, they will get replaced by a pair of adidas Superstars.

It's been fun with them, but this is where that I'm switching to adidas Superstars. I don't think it's possible to get them during Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania because I can't possibly waste money. (tweeted) Things will be better when I wake up without having to play the Dreamcast.

The last part is that I'm going to do is to replace my slippers with my retired Chucks. I know the tips of the shoelaces are kind of dirty so I have to trim them.

I went outside in the rain today to see how my red Chucks are still wearable outside. I don't think I can even wear them to the public anymore because they will think "Hi, your red Chucks are stinky. Please wear non-stinky shoes so the people won't recognize you wearing your stinky shoes." I have 7 other pairs to rock on, except the unlaced one, which is soon-to-be-retired. I don't want to get new ones from here, but I can get new ones during my Japan trip. I really do love my red Chucks. I simply can't throw them away, I'll use them as my slippers. And that's enough for this subject. I don't want to take more pictures of my retired Chucks. I'll put up more pictures of MySims Party gameplay.

Well, this is part 2 of my Red Chucks. So I have taken pictures of them this morning (below):

The 8th photograph has wear but no tear on the soles, the 9th photograph, the logo of the shoes got a little smeared. You may have seen the television show The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh's "Tigger's Shoes" episode, which it resembles the shoes that I have been wearing. The shoelaces are very dirty but still intact (I hope they don't get torn). I have a video of it, I think I should put it up on this Vox post. I can still wear them without tying the shoelaces.

They might think, "your red Chuck Taylors are untied", I didn't want to tie them, so I decided to wear them untied. Most of the Chucks remain intact, so that's part 2 of it... I'm going to start a pair of my different Chucks.

Well, it's time to retire my Red Chucks, I had them for six months now, so I get to buy more Chucks during my Japan trip. Here are the reasons that my Chucks are being retired (no, I am definitely not retiring, just the red Chucks!).

The left picture is that I will always be wearing them untied, since I can't wear them to school any more. I wouldn't want to hang them on the door. The center picture is that it had some wear and tear (click for full size), because the side of the sole is a little torn/a little peel. The right picture is the black racing stripe is about to peel too. Tomorrow I will have part 2 -- going outside at around 5:00 AM in the morning to jump in my retired Chuck Taylors. You may have noticed that a shot on bliss (jhenny laquian) has a piar of yellow Chuck Taylors (low cuts) as seen on some pictures on her Vox blog. I don't think I can type this up today because my Vista overheats too much!

Here are my Chuck Taylor snow boots -- I wear them during the cold winter months. I got em some years ago. I got eight pairs right now. I'll get more of these Chucks during my Tokyo trip - it's because Japan is selling the American-tradition Chuck Taylors with these weird colors/designs (I will definitely get them during my Tokyo trip). The rakuten website won't allow international shipping during order.
